Infrared Saunas And Phones

Depending on the type of sauna you are using, you may be able to take your phone into a sauna, however, bear in mind that high temperatures and humidity/moisture can cause damage. Infrared saunas have lower temperatures and less moisture so they can be more suitable than traditional saunas but we still recommend exercising caution.

If you’re planning on kicking back and doing a bit of ‘Netflix and Chilling’ during your sauna session, your phone will also heat up with video streaming so keep that in mind too. One of the benefits of using infrared saunas is that they are fantastic for relaxation and promoting better sleep, essentially it’s up to you whether you take your phone into your sauna but we recommend going phone free for a bit and enjoying some true relaxation.

Some ways you can make your sauna session even more relaxing include:

  • Adding a bit of aromatherapy with essential oils like lavender or peppermint
  • Using colour therapy - Red light balances the circadian rhythm relaxing your body and also promotes the production of the sleep hormone melatonin
  • Saunas in our range have a Bluetooth sound system so you can put on your favourite tunes or podcast before heading into your sauna and sitting back while getting all that sauna goodness.
